Matt Cutts on the upcoming “Caffeine” update

(Matt lost a bet with his Googlers team and they got to shave his head!)
Mike McDonald from Webpronews.com spoke to Matt Cutts (Head of webspam team at Google)about the Caffeine update.
Matt says “the main objective of Caffeine is to allow for more and faster indexing. It will lay the foundation for any changes we want to do in indexing. Caffeine is re-architecting or rewriting a large chunck of how we index web pages.”
Caffeine is the largest update in four years but currently there’s nothing new to the user interface and most of the changes are going on “under the hood”.
